How Runecraft works.

Everything about bitcoin runes launchpads on Runecraft: the launch pipeline, the price curve, where every fee goes, and what we can and cannot do with your coin.

01

Overview

Runecraft is a bitcoin runes launchpad running on MEME OS Foundry. Its own coin is $CRAFT. Every rune launched here sends part of its trading fees back into $CRAFT.

ItemValue
ChainBitcoin + Solana

Trading fee1.31% (Rune split)

CustodyNone. You sign everything in your own wallet.

02

The Rune etching program

Every coin on Runecraft is a real Bitcoin Rune etched on Bitcoin mainnet, paired with a tradable Solana coin carrying the same brand. You pay everything in SOL; we never ask you for BTC.

  1. 1

    Live quote

We read current Bitcoin fee rates and quote the etch cost in SOL. The quote is signed and expires fast so the price can't drift.

  2. 2

    Pay in one transaction

Your wallet signs one Solana transaction that pays the etch and sets up the coin's Meteora market.

  3. 3

    We check before etching

The server reads your payment back on-chain first. No confirmed payment, no etch.

  4. 4

    Bitcoin etch

The platform Bitcoin wallet broadcasts the etch. Instant etches get a Bitcoin-assigned name; the transaction id is saved before it is sent.

  5. 5

    Tracking

Your Rune moves from etched → confirmed → final as Bitcoin blocks land. You can follow it on any Rune explorer.

  6. 6

    Trading

The Solana side trades right away on a Meteora bonding curve, so nobody waits for Bitcoin blocks to trade.

Fees on Rune coins follow the Rune engine split (1.31% per trade: 0.50% creator, 0.50% platform with 10% of it to the $MEMEOS burn, 0.31% Meteora). The Runecraft owner does not take a share of Rune coin trades yet.

03

Bonding curve

A bonding curve is a price formula instead of an order book. The pool starts with virtual reserves, so a coin can trade from the first second without anyone adding liquidity.

price = SOL reserve ÷ coin reserve, SOL reserve × coin reserve = constant

Each buy adds SOL and removes coins, so the price climbs. Each sell does the reverse. Bigger trades move the price more, which is why your wallet shows price impact before you sign.

StageWhat happens
LaunchStarts around 30 SOL market cap
CurvePrice follows the formula above; anyone can buy or sell
GraduationAt ~420 SOL Meteora migrates the liquidity to a normal pool automatically

04

Fee split

Meteora keeps 20% of each trading fee. The rest is split like this:

WhoShareHow it's paid
Coin creator50%Paid by Meteora straight to the creator. Set on-chain at launch.
Buy & burn $CRAFT25%MEME OS buys $CRAFT and burns it
Launchpad owner10%Sent in SOL to the owner wallet
MEME OS15%Infrastructure; 10% of this buys and burns $MEMEOS

Launch fee (0.05 SOL): 0.015 SOL buy & burn $CRAFT, 0.015 SOL to the owner, 0.02 SOL to MEME OS.

Rune coins use the Rune split described above instead.

05

Payouts

Once an hour MEME OS collects each coin's platform share from Meteora and pays it out. Every step is written to a public ledger, shown on the About page.

RuleValue
Minimum to collect0.005 SOL per coin
Minimum owner payment0.01 SOL
Minimum buy & burn0.02 SOL
Buy & burnWaiting until the $CRAFT coin address is set

A payment is recorded before it's sent. If anything fails mid-way, it's never sent twice automatically; it waits for a manual check.

06

Security

  • We never ask for seed phrases or private keys. Every launch and trade is signed in your wallet.
  • Creator fees are set in the coin's on-chain config at launch. Nobody, including MEME OS, can redirect them.
  • Coins are listed only after the chain confirms the payment, pool and fee settings, so fake listings are impossible.
  • Limits: 5 launches per wallet per day, 60 per day across all launchpads.

FAQ

What is a Rune?+

A fungible token living natively on Bitcoin, created with an on-chain 'etching'.

Why Solana too?+

Bitcoin is slow. The Solana market lets people trade right away while the Rune exists on Bitcoin.

How long does etching take?+

Your Rune trades on Solana the moment you sign. The Bitcoin etch lands in the next block and is final after 6 blocks.
